He insisted to speak out loud, did not want to hear my voice, and he kept mumbling his words. I tried not to nod, but it was too hard to keep my head still. Then he turned around, asked for the check and said, “so I am not the typical kind of a guy you are used to, most of the time I don’t pay on dates, and I believe a couple should live and manage their lives equally!” I rolled my eyes over again and again, and wondered; it is only our first date and we just had one cup of tea, how come he cannot invite me for just tea? I tried not to stare, and turned my chair far back to go to the bathroom. I started planning my escape and thought to myself, what if I could sneak away from the backdoor? just wanted the night to be over.

Who pays for the first date?

Come on, it is the first date! Guys should definitely take initiative. Statistically, girl's lives cost much more than guys. So showing some sort of appreciation for all gals out there will help you win a second date. If the guy does not offer to pay, you know he might be stingy.
